2011 Autorama Detroit Recap

2011 Autorama Detroit Recap

It was a great weekend in Detroit as the 2011 Autorama Detroit show was in town! Tons of classic cars, muscle cars, hot rods, rat rods, and great customization were around to keep car buffs from all over the Midwest drooling as they walked through the rows of vehicles.

As is every year, the Autorama Detroit Ridler Award is given to the best vehicle at the show. The coveted Autorama Detroit Ridler Award for 2011 went to the 1956 Ford Sunliner (Convertible) running a 427OHC motor. She is owned by Bruce and Judy Ricks of Sapulpa, OK. Way to many modifications to mention.

As we did last year, Cruis'news took a ton of photos (over 600 altogether) and we've posted them up for all you car buffs to enjoy. Below are a sample of some of our shots from the show. To view all 500 we have uploaded, click here.

Overall, 2011 Autorama Detroit was a great show! Of course, the problem with Autorama Detroit always being in February is that it is still a little too early for us here in the Motor City to roll out our classics after being inspired by the show. That's ok, though, since Spring is right around the corner and we'll soon be firing up our engines and burning out some tires!

We'll see ya out there!
